Japan's closest neighbors are North Korea, South Korea, Russia and China. The Japan`s location is 35 degrees 41 seconds North and 139 degrees 46 seconds East.
Japan is made up of several thousands of islands, and fourth largest islands in Japan is Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku.

Japan belongs to the temperate zone with four different seasons, but its climate varies from cool temperate in the north to subtropical in the south, seasonal wind also affect the climate. Japan have a very unique tradition and one of them is Nebuta Matsuri. The Nebuta Matsuri features festival floats with huge lanterns, some measuring more than 10 meters. The festival attracts several million visitors every year.
Japan had many earthquakes and tsunamis because of Japan is belong to four tectonic plates. We had an earthquakes in 1995, that happened in Hansin and Awazi. It killed 6434 peoples. This year in 2011, March 11, we had a huge earthquake that killed 15735 peoples and make a radiation spills around the world.
You can go to there by airplane or boat. You can move around by train, bus, bicicle, walk, or especialy cars because Japan have a lot of highways.
